Let’s celebrate International Child Helpline Day – 2017 edition

We commit to end all forms of violence against children.

Children

Our global network of child helplines marks International Child Helpline Day by calling for an end to all forms of violence against children, in solidarity with achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16.2.

Violence against children can never be justified. This May 17, child helplines across the globe dedicate a wide range of campaigns to spread the message to end violence against children. In our Bangkok Declaration of November 2016, we urge governments to ensure that all children have easy access to a high quality child helpline where children who are exposed to abuse and violence can get support. We also urge governments to implement appropriate legislation to protect children from violence, and to use the invaluable data from national child helplines to strengthen child protection systems.
